1. How would you describe your overall level of satisfaction with us as your tour operator?
The customer service received from InsideJapan Tours was outstanding both in 2011 when the Japanese tragedy caused a very late cancellation and then the level of support for our trip this year exceeded anything we have ever experienced from a travel company. The meticulous planning and information you provided made an independent visit so much easier and trouble free than we would have believed possible. On the one occasion we needed support while in Japan your local staff were excellent, problem solved in minutes. We would recommend anyone who was contemplating a trip to Japan to go and discover this fascinating country secure in the knowledge that you will be well prepared before your visit and supported while there if needed. Our only disappointment was the Tea Ceremony prior to the Geisha Dances which were excellent. The ceremony was badly done and frankly a waste of money. By contrast the tea ceremony at the merchant's house in Kyoto was memorable.

David's knowledge and enthusiasm for Japan and his understanding of what we wanted to experience on our trip were the major factors in our itinerary delivering what we wished to see. Any queries or alterations to the travel arrangements were quickly and very professionally dealt with. A pleasure to deal with.

3. How would you rate your package in terms of value for money?

4. How would you rate the accommodation against your expectations?
Without exception our experience of both hotels and ryokans' accommodation was first class. The only disappointing element was that we felt the welcome at reception at Hakone Ryokan was forced and it was the only time on the entire trip that we felt uncomfortable.

5. Please give us your comments on the transport included in your package.
Travelling on public transport, trains and buses was significantly easier than we had expected. We were both somewhat apprehensive about travelling unescorted because of possible language difficulties but a combination of your very detailed info pack and the amount of English language information on trains, buses, stations, underground etc coupled with a real willingness to be helpful from transport staff and members of the public it was stress free. Without exception all forms of transport were very clean and comfortable. We followed your suggestion of using the luggage forwarding service on several occasions and that made the travelling even more pleasant.

6. Please comment on any professional guiding included in your package?
We had three guides, one in Tokyo, Kyoto (day) and Kyoto (Gion evening). Without exception they were a delight to spend time with. Excellent English, providing a fascinating commentary on the places we wished to see and on more general background topics. They also made sure that we did not miss places of real interest.

Having travelled independently reasonably extensively we have never experienced any travel company whose service and detailed information for a trip that comes even close to that provided by InsideJapan Tours. From initial contact to our departure from Japan we had absolute confidence in the arrangements you had made. Our holiday ended up as perhaps the one of the most memorable we have undertaken and that was largely down to your company's knowledge of Japan.
